Our specialty is curves so of course, the entire kitchen countertop is curved as well as the entire bathroom. The kitchen backsplash is similar to the shower tiles and the queen bed is a lift over the dinette. Our upholsterer matched his dinette cushions to match exactly to the recliner sofa. We also built an exterior pullout kitchen with running hot and cold water and a grill. We hand-made all of the cabinets with plastic laminate and marine pullout knobs. The flooring is a cushion backed vinyl and the interior skin is white metal. The kitchen has a huge deep sink, filtered water, a microwave, induction stove and a small hood fan. This was a fairly large RV renovation that we did. We replaced the carpet and lino to cushion-backed vinyl. It’s a large fifth wheel with the living-room in the front with 3 large black sofas. All 18 window valances needed to be replaced and the kitchen island was quite small. The table and 2 chairs in the kitchen slide-out did not work for our clients. Even though this travel trailer was fairly new many features were either ugly or in the way of our clients. In the bedroom the upper cabinets were not usable so we tore them out and built a huge padded headboard with 2 lights. Plus the bedroom door was dark and we lightened it up by building a door out of cherry and putting in a large frosted acrylic window.
Starting with the kitchen this RV renovation started to take shape. We rebuilt the entire kitchen island and our clients picked out this beautiful blue and rust metal backsplash ($900) and a rustic blue wood tone laminate for all the countertops. We tore out the little table and chairs and custom built this beautiful bar table and purchased 2 bar stools for them. We reconfigured the area behind the sink as well. We redid the 18 valances and the whole trailer looks fresh and brand new. The flooring is really the star of the show. It looks so new and clean and perfect but most importantly are extremely happy clients!
This new build is for party rentals here in Las Vegas. It was a dream for our client for at least 2 years to have someone build this trailer. It’s sort of a replica of a trailer from a company back East but with our spin on it. Our client provided the flat bed trailer and after meetings regarding design and practicality, we came up with a stunning and fun bar for parties and events. We built the base with lots of storage and power. The roof extends 3 feet from storing it to using it, this was a challenge balancing all 4 steel bars to extend simultaneously. James likes lots of lighting so it has lots of lights. The wooden countertop is custom made and the sides are a teal vinyl.
James custom built the entire structure out of steel and welded the base, all 8 seats and the roof. The roof was then covered with white painted steel clad metal panels that we welded. This build was a pleasure as our client once again, gave us free reign to do what we knew was stronger and more practical. A TV and a mister system was also added to the roof structure. Not only does it have a beautiful wood countertop but it has a modern sink and a huge grill. There is also a beer keg in the front. Our client was quite happy with our build and his review even said “we were the only company in Vegas that he trusted”.
This RV renovation was also a huge job. Our clients drove from Montana to us here in Las Vegas to do their reno. The sofa and pink chair needed to go and our clients did not like the bankette table. They have 2 teenage daughters who needed their own beds so we tore out the dinette and made bunkbeds (which they love). The floor was also horrendous so that needed to go. They wanted upgrades in the bathroom and a sexy bedroom. Of course, the kitchen needed to get upgraded so we changed all the glass to frosted acrylic. Then we solved the eating situation by custom building the bar table for 3 and making a swing out table for the 2nd daughter as the passenger captain chair swivels around.
This RV customization took 6 weeks as we tackled almost every area of this motorhome. Not only did James reconfigure the main area but increased storage and enabled the continuity of the aesthetics throughout. The bedroom got a new headboard with surrounding lights and a new modern ceiling light/fan. We added hanging sconces over the bar and replaced the handles and faucets in black. Our upholsterer redid the captains chairs beautifully in two tone cream and dark brown. We also replaced all the blinds to soft gray ones and redid the valances so they do not bang against the blinds when driving. Our clients were so blown away from the RV renovation that they were speechless. Another 5 star review from this lovely family!
This is a new build for Diane Mina who is the wife of Five Star Michelin Chef Michael Mina and this trailer we built is a replica of a 1962 Shasta trailer. This photo is not even the before photo, it’s after James welded the entire frame on the axle. This is a commercial trailer and is currently parked at The Uncommons Food Hall here in Las Vegas as Diane’s Bloody Mary trailer. We built this based on exact measurements of the Shasta and made the walls out of wood and used bendable plywood that we call wiggle-wood for the front, roof and back. We did the floor in our trusty cushion backed vinyl and custom built all the countertops in wood and the back wall is gray vinyl barn wood.
We found a company who sells vintage replica siding with exact Shasta measurements. Our upholsterer, Upholstery Works made the awning and the interior has custom built matching shelves and storage units. Building this was a challenge as we were the mercy of Clark County’s health inspector and didn’t even approve it until the day of the grand opening of Uncommons June 2023. This trailer is a dream of Dianes as she also owns another similar bar trailer named Bella whom she rents out for events selling her bloody mary mix with her bloody marys.
