The Barrett Truck – Custom 1998 Peterbilt RV Conversion with 50 Caliber Smoke Stacks

The Barrett Truck Project

We took a 1998 Peterbilt and completely transformed it into a one-of-a-kind black custom built masterpiece. The centerpiece of the project was designing and fabricating two massive smoke stacks that are exact replicas of the Barrett 50 caliber sniper rifle. Every piece was built in our shop using traditional fabrication and aluminum welding skills — no CNC machines, no AI, and no pre-made parts. We designed and built a complete interior consisting of the ceiling, walls and 4 lounge chairs made out of Italian leather.

Custom Features We Built

  • Full custom aluminum smoke stacks hand-fabricated to match the Barrett 50 caliber design
  • Complete exterior refinishing in a deep black finish
  • Custom lighting and electrical upgrades
  • Detailed fabrication work throughout the cab, fuel tanks and rear hitch
  • Precision welding and metalwork that highlights old-school craftsmanship
  • Designed and built the eintire interior with Italian leather, sound systems and extensive mood lighting

The Result

The finished truck is a striking black masterpiece that draws attention wherever it goes. The handcrafted Barrett-style smoke stacks became the defining feature of the build, showcasing the level of custom aluminum fabrication and welding we’re capable of. This project has been featured heavily on our Instagram (@aceofspadesrv), where the build process has generated over 12 million views — mostly focused on the fabricating and aluminum welding of the smoke stacks.
